This Malabar is grown in Chikmagalur, Karnataka, southwestern India at 1000 – 1400 msl. Grown on small farms that are 80 to 100 years old belonging to third-generation growers. The farmers not only produce coffee, but they also grow pepper, cardamom, and oranges.
The beans are out in Monsoon season, the heavy rains wash the bean and make green beans into a golden tan. This natural process mellows the taste of this coffee when it gets to your cup.
Between the amazing coffee, spices, wildlife sanctuaries, and views of the Arabian sea, this area is rich with history and flavor.
